Contact & Bio

Tina is a working class, self-taught artist, film maker and podcaster from a small mining village in North Wales.  She explores Stereotypes, body image, and is inspired by her lived experience as a (disabled) woman and portrays this through figurative work and language.
In the hope of challenging preconceptions, and through an almost subliminal process she creates images that unfold on the page referencing biographical memories, ideas, fantasy and her response.
Tina enjoys experimenting with various media, sometimes applying collage and text that connects to a particular visual image. She employs a wide variety of techniques to explore and create, and invites the viewer to create their own narrative around her work.

Tina is an advisor to Disability Arts Cymru (DAC) and is the lead artist for Pobl Y Ffin (People of the Border), a community Arts collective based in North Wales who are creating an artistic (Art, Music, Poetry, performance) response to the history of the post-industrial mining Village of Chirk (Her home town).
She is the lead artist on ‘F A T’, and has worked with several galleries in Wales on ‘Creativity is Mistakes’, a collaborative project between disabled artists and visual arts organisations in Wales and Disability Arts Cymru. She has also just completed being one of the panel members for the WeareUnlimited Open Awards 2024 and had her first solo show at The Royal Cambrian Academy in Conwy.
